Hundreds of Bronx residential workers took to the steps of Borough Hall Tuesday to demand a fair wage increase and benefits.
The Bronx apartment building workers are members of the Union 32 BJ. They say they will walk off the job if they do not get a fair increase and benefits.
The union represents about 3,500 doormen and doorwomen, handypersons and superintendents who work in over 1,000 apartment buildings in the borough.
The workers say they want the Bronx Realty Advisory Board to meet their demands. News 12 is told that those negotiations are currently underway.
If a new contract is not negotiated by March 14, the workers say they will go on strike.
