The Bronx Brewery has a new beer and it has a message for the year 2020.
The brewery's new double dry hopped IPA is called "Year Gone Hazy."
The Bronx Times first reported that the new drink's label consists of passages written by borough residents who shared what they went through this year.
The brewery collaborated with Bronx Native Clothing Shop and Bronx Writers to take submissions and release the limited-edition drink.
Josue Caceres fell into a coma after contracting the coronavirus and says it's important to share his experience on the beer can.
"That's why I think this project is so special to me," Caceres says. "Seeing what I went through and then being able to read other people's experiences and see how I related to them."
Bronx Native Clothing Shop also released a new line of merchandise to go along with the beer's release.
The personal messages on the label are also being published in a book by Bronx Writers.
