The Bronx and Brooklyn borough presidents are going head-to-head in a fire safety challenge.
Both Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams are participating in the Red Cross 'Sound the Alarm, Save a Life' campaign.
Events will be held throughout the city to get New Yorkers prepared for fire emergencies.
The campaign is part of an effort to prevent fire tragedies.
A fast-moving fire inside a Bronx apartment building killed 13 people on Dec. 28, 2017.
The Sound the Alarm campaign begins Saturday, April 28, and lasts until May 13.
