The Bronx Bus Redesign Initiative has created a plan to help commuters.

The redesign promotes streamlining bus routes, making them more direct, and improving vital areas essential for intraborough travel.

Sen. Alessandra Biaggi and Comptroller Scott Stringer spoke with News 12 about the bus system and the initiative that has been in the works. They hope this will relieve commuters of the long waits on crowded buses.

They say the MTA needs to run buses more often and to put riders first.

The MTA says it will release their final plan in September.
