321ds agoA celebration of the survival of art was held in the Bronx Friday on the one-year anniversary of New York City’s cultural shutdown.
ID Studio Theatre and the Bronx Arts Space teamed up to put on the show in the Bronx as part of the city’s Open Culture initiative.
The event, which was also happening in other parts of the city, reflected on two themes: those who struggled during the pandemic and the celebration of artists moving forward to bring art back to the streets of the Bronx.
The themes are titled "Culture Remembers" and "Culture Forward."
Organizers tell News 12 they hope to continue bringing arts and culture to the streets of the Bronx throughout the year.
