Bronx community releases balloons to honor New City victims of murder-suicide

There was a balloon release ceremony outside of One World Middle School where the late Ornela Morgan taught.

The Bronx community gathered Friday afternoon to honor the memory of Ornela Morgan and her two children, who were killed in a murder-suicide in late December.

Ornela Morgan, a technology teacher at One World Middle School in the Bronx, along with her two children, were shot and killed inside their home in New City, Rockland County. Ornela's husband, Watson Morgan, a Bronxville police sergeant, was also found shot in the head at the scene.


Authorities believe that Watson Morgan was responsible for the deaths of his family before he took his own life.

In remembrance of Ornela Morgan and her children, there was balloon release ceremony at outside of One World Middle School.
