The Bronx District Attorney's Office is looking to give help to people with outstanding warrants.
A program - now in its second year - by the DA's office, the Bronx Defenders and the Office of Court Administration can help clear people's records.
"What another chance does is provide people from all five borough with an opportunity to reduce the chance that when they least expect it, a mistake from years ago can come back to haunt them," says District Attorney Darcel D. Clark.
Outstanding warrants that may prevent employment, citizenship, housing or other opportunities can be cleared by showing up to the event.
Last year, 355 warrants were resolved after more than 500 people attended the event. They came with summons for violations like drinking in public, trespassing, littering and unlawful possession of marijuana, among others.
Another event will be held Aug. 5 at the Eastchester Presbyterian Church.
