The Bronx District Attorney's office sentenced a man for killing his 19-year-old neighbor over a parking dispute.

Vladimir Lopez German will serve 16 years in prison and five years post-release supervision for stabbing Dominic Cruz Aguilera to death in April 2024.

Prosecutors say Lopez German, a cab driver, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter.

According to court documents, Lopez German's demanded that someone move the double-parked car that was blocking his car in. After Aguilera complied, Lopez German came at the 19-year-old with a knife and stabbed him in the chest, killing him.

News 12 spoke with Aguilera's family outside of Bronx Criminal Court in August 2024, who demanded justice to be served in the crime that they said destroyed their family.
