The Bronx Drafthouse is collecting items for Hurricane Maria victims through Friday.
The alehouse is taking goods like water, canned food, hygiene products, batteries and flashlights from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All donations will be given to the Jorge and Laura Posada Foundation, which will then send them to Puerto Rico.
Also, the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization will be holding a drive for hurricane victims in Puerto Rico and earthquake victims in Mexico this Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. at the corner of Southern Boulevard and Aldus Street. Recommended donations include new or gently used clothing, cases of water, baby food, diapers, wipes, canned goods, batteries and flashlights.
Multiple Bronx firehouses and EMS stations are collecting specific donations daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Locations include EMS Station 2, 1264 Boston Road in Morrisania; EMS Station 55, 3134 Park Ave. in Melrose; Engine 64/Ladder 47, 1214 Castle Hill Ave. in Castle Hill; and Engine 83/Ladder 29, 618 East 138th St. in the South Bronx.
