The Bronx is experiencing bitter-cold weather on Friday.

The New York City Health Department encourages residents to call their landlord if they don't have heat or hot water. You can also call 311 if the issues persist.

The city is also under a Code Blue they say that outreach teams are canvassing the five boroughs to connect any New Yorkers who need help to shelters.

They say no one who is homeless and seeking shelter in new York city will be denied during a Code Blue.
