Burgers, bubble tea and Thai food are now available under one roof in Belmont, thanks to a venture called Bronx Food Co.
The food hall, launched by Cloud Kitchens, houses multiple restaurant kitchens in one location. Orders are available only for pickup or delivery.
“Without the hassle of brick-and-mortar dealing with construction and renovations, our spaces come equipped with the necessary tools they need to get set up,” said Chris Lopez of Cloud Kitchens.
The concept allows restaurants to operate without front-of-house costs.
“They can just focus on their labor - the main cook or sous chef when it gets busy,” said Eduardo Negron of Cloud Kitchens.
Among the businesses taking advantage of the model is Natural Squeeze, which recently opened inside Bronx Food Co.
“Our main concern is quality and service,” a chef at the kitchen said.
For customers, the process is simple: Order at an in-store touchscreen or through a delivery app, then receive text updates until the food is ready.
Pickup lockers dispense meals once customers confirm through their phones.
