A Bronx school is getting creative in order to motivate its young scholars for state exams.
P.S. 536 in Parkchester threw a pep rally to get its third-, fourth- and fifth-graders pumped up for English and writing Common Core tests, which start on Tuesday.
Students in kindergarten through second grade were part of the celebration in the school gym, cheering on their older peers.
This is the school's third annual pep rally before the Common Core exams.
Teachers say it helps build both excitement and confidence in the students, who have been preparing for the tests since September.
