Bronx man accused in deli shooting appears in court
A Bronx man accused of a deli shooting that took the life of a 20-year-old man appeared in court on Monday.
Adrien Topping has been indicted by a grand jury after police say he killed Mohammed Quitash in a dispute over the sale of loose cigarettes.
Topping is being charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
Authorities say Topping shot Quitash, who was behind the counter. Members of the Yemeni community showed up at the court appearance to support the victim's family.
Topping is due back in court on March 10. He is being held without bail.
