A Bronx man is charged with allegedly attacking an Orthodox Jewish man in Crown Heights on April 21.
Police say that James Vincent, 40, assaulted Menachem Moskowitz in broad daylight, leaving him with a broken rib and a black eye.
Moskowitz says his attacker shouted anti-Semitic slurs. It happened Saturday as he was walking home from synagogue on Rutland Road and Schenectady Avenue.
Surveillance video shows the suspect attacking Moskowitz, who says he only told the man "hello."
The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force has been investigating the incident.
Vincent is being charged with assault, strangulation and unlawful possession of marijuana.
