Police say a Bronx man is charged with attempted murder for firing gunshots inside the East 170th Street station.

Image Whitley, 18, is accused of opening fire on the southbound "B/D" platform just after 7 p.m. on Jan. 5.

Authorities say a shell casing was recovered at the scene, and no one was hurt.

Whitley’s arrest comes after the NYPD released photos of the gunman on Jan. 7.

Police say the 18-year-old faces a slew of additional charges, including attempted criminally negligent homicide, attempted assault, criminal possession of a firearm and reckless endangerment.
