A Bronx man is looking to clear his name after his photo was plastered all over his neighborhood, marking him as a rape suspect.
Nick Acosta spoke exclusively to News 12 after he was arrested for a crime he says he didn't commit.
"I kind of fell off the chair, I was shocked," Acosta says. "I started crying, I was shaking."
Police now say Acosta is not the suspect.
"They called my job and verified I was there and knew they had the wrong guy," says Acosta. "But it kind of destroyed my life."
Acosta says he is still reminded of the experience as he walks to and from work, because the photo with his face on it is still up.
Police say Acosta was released and is no longer considered a suspect, but they are still looking for the man who raped the two women.
As for Acosta, he says he hopes the correct person is caught.
"I do hope and pray they catch him because no one wants to have that fear for their child," he says. "And he deserves it."
