Hundreds of people packed Fordham Plaza Saturday to attend the Bronx Night Market for its sixth year.
This year's night market featured more than 50 vendors local to the Bronx and New York City.
The event featured a variety of foods, from Rasta pasta, Mexican street dogs, to southern delights.
"The Bronx is going to find out this is the Bronx Market on steroids," said Marco Shalma, who started the festival in 2018.
It showcases the diversity and local entrepreneurs that make up the borough.
Mel's Fusion Kitchen is a Bronx catering business that made its debut at the market this year.
"To base my company here in the Bronx and have the Bronxites know who I am, at some point, hopefully, they'll come to my restaurant when I finally do open,” said Melanie Scarlett Williams, owner of Mel's Fusion Kitchen.
Besides the varieties of foods, the market also featured live entertainment from local artists
The free market is open on the last Saturday of every month through October from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
