A Bronx pastor accused of sexually assaulting one of his congregation members faced a judge Thursday.
Pastor Franklin Porterfield, of the Faith Love Community Church, is facing forcible touching charges after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman from the congregation at the pastor's home back in July.
The victim, who does not want to be identified, says she saw Porterfield as a father figure because he and his wife took her under their wing for the past six years.
The judge issued a restraining order and Porterfield posted bail at $1,000.
Porterfield's wife, brother and another pastor from his church were in court for the hearing.
Porterfield is due back in court Sept. 5.
