The Bronx Phenomenal Woman Expo took place Saturday at Monroe College.
Various community leaders took part in the event where the accomplishments of women were celebrated.
The event also brought attention to issues concerning high school graduation rates, college matriculation and lack of job preparedness.
Project Dreamair founder Andreina Idalia Rosa says its programs are important in the borough, saying students are learning wellness, mindfulness and business in an effort to prepare for college.
Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark and others received awards for their positive contributions to the borough.
