People from around the Bronx are grabbing their green gear and three-leaf clovers for this Sunday’s annual Throgs Neck St. Patrick’s Day parade.
This year marks the 26th anniversary of the parade, and on Sunday the streets of Throgs Neck will be packed with members of the community enjoying marching bands and joining in the parade with local organizations.
"It's a special day because everybody gets to gather and spend time with their families and friends,” said John Brady, owner of local favorite bar P.J. Brady’s. “It's a great feeling that everyone gets together that day and like I said it's been a tradition."
John Brady and Majella Brady have been in every parade and this year were named Grand Marshalls for it by the Throgs Neck Benevolent Association.
