A decision to not expand the Citi Bike program into the Bronx has been met with mixed reactions by residents.
Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. said he feels the Bronx is being left out. He released a statement saying in part, "It is deplorable that Citi Bike is expanding to New Jersey before the rest of the city."
Some residents are in agreement with Diaz and believe it's a big missed opportunity for the borough. Others think the Bronx is already so congested so the last thing that is needed is more bikes.
Bike NYC could not be reached for comment on its plans to expand to sections of Brooklyn, Queens and Jersey City and not the Bronx.
