A Bronx restaurant has started a no tipping policy.
Nelson Ng, the owner of Sabrousura 2, says he began the policy after minimum wage was increased. He says he raised his employee's salary from $5 to $13 an hour, but didn't want to raise prices on the menu.
Workers at the restaurant say they are happy with the new policy, and that the salary is better and more reliable.
Customers are also happy with the policy, and say that the service remains good.
"They give me a good service at this place, you know extremely good. You know, that's why I came back today. I always give a tip no matter what," said one customer.
The staff at the Westchester Avenue restaurant say that some of their customers still want to leave a tip behind, but the trend is slowly starting to catch on.
