Dozens of people marched in the second annual Bronx Walk in Mott Haven today.
The walk aimed to raise substance abuse awareness, celebrate recovery and educate others about the resources available for treatment. Many participants are in treatment at Acacia Network, a Bronx-based treatment center.
The walk was initiated two years ago by Gladys Delgado, who worked at a neighborhood church. She wanted to bring awareness and help direct people to rehab centers.
People who are in recovery at Acacia say they marched because they want people to see what life can be like when you're clean and sober.
