A Bronx woman is recounting the fatal attack of her dog by two unleashed pit bulls.

Monica Reyes says her Lhasa Apso died after it was attacked by two unleashed pit bulls two weeks ago.

Reyes says the attack was witnessed in front of her two children.

“The way that it happened. I can’t get it out of my head, it’s burned into my head," said Reyes.

She said the attack happened as she was walking around her Throgs Neck neighborhood.

“I was hysterical, I fell to my knees. I hope my kids don’t remember that day," said Reyes.

She says her dog, Juju, was severely injured and he had to be put down.

Reyes says she is working with dog owners to get a law passed that will hold dog owners criminally accountable when their animals attack another dog.
