A Bronx mother was in court on Friday after being accused of tossing her toddler down a flight of subway stairs while he was strapped to a stroller.
It happened Thursday afternoon at the Grand Concourse and East 149th Street subway station in Melrose.
Jessica Mixon was arraigned on three counts of assault.
Officials believe a nearby store surveillance video shows Mixon walking down the Grand Concourse with her baby moments before the incident.
Prosecutors say witnesses heard the 26-year-old yell, “I threw the baby, I don’t want the baby. I don’t give an [expletive] about this baby. I have a case with ACS.”
News 12 has been told the 2-year-old is doing OK. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital with deep cut under his left eye.
Mixon’s next court appearance in June 6.
