A Bronx woman claims a leaky bathroom pipe is creating a safety hazard for her mother.
Video was sent to News 12 that showed a leak inside the second floor of an apartment at the Castle Hill Houses.
Maritza Fernandez and family say the leak issue started three weeks ago and has left them scrambling every day to clean up.
They believe the source of the water is coming from a bathroom two floors above them.
On Tuesday, a pipe was replaced but the family says they aren’t confident it’s going to resolve the issue.
“There's still some moisture behind the wall. We don't know if we're going to resolve the problem or what's happening to happen in the hallway until someone uses that bathroom,” said Fernandez.
NYCHA tells News 12 that, “Plumbers were dispatched today to investigate the source of the leak. They were able to replace the pipe equipment causing the ongoing issue.”
