To mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a group of Bronx women are walking to find a cure.
It is the 10th year for the walk, which took place in Orchard Beach.
The event was organized by the Women's Academy of Excellence in Castle Hill, and it also serves as a community service project.
Over the past decade, the school has teamed up with organizations and has raised more than $10,000.
Organizers say it's not just about money, and that they are focused on getting the word out about just how important early detection can be.
Students say they'll continue to raise money to fund the search for a cure.
