An organization that focuses on feeding, sheltering, teaching and supporting residents of all ages held its fourth annual 5K run at St. Mary's Park.
The run, hosted by Bronx Works, had around 30 runners participating.
Each runner is required to raise at least $200.
Bronx Works raised a total of $24,000, which the organization says will go to a number of programs designed to combat homelessness and hunger, and to promote education for families and individuals of all races.
The 5K is one of a few fundraisers Bronx Works hosts year-round.
Bronx Works members will vote to decide which faction of the organization will use the money.
