Young Bronx residents are brainstorming what they want for the future of the Sheridan Expressway.

At the third annual Sheridan Teen Summit, many teens said they are being negatively impacted by the current state of the roadway, whether it's the smell or number of trucks coming off it.

The future community activists each year hold informative workshops to stay well-informed on the Sheridan's past and future. They say they would like to see additions such as community centers and more parks, theaters and book stores.

In April, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced a $1.8 billion project to transform the South Bronx roadway with the purpose of turning it into a pedestrian- and cyclist-friendly area.
