The Bronx Zoo will attempt to break a Guinness World Record Friday for the largest display of origami elephants.
More than 400 zoos across the country are participating in the event for World Elephant Day.
WCS's Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo and New York Aquarium are also participating.
The zoo says the current record is 33,764.
The Bronx Zoo is looking to fold 35,000 of them--the number of African elephants killed each year for their tusks.
