The Bronx Zoo is spending $12.5 million in federal funds to help reduce traffic and wait times.
Officials with the zoo say they plan on adding more parking spots, pay-when-you-leave kiosks and a BxM 11 bus shelter right outside one of the entrances.
The renovation is part of what community leaders are calling the "West Farms Renaissance," as it's part of other different projects going on in the area.
The various projects will be discussed during a town hall meeting at M.S. 214 on Sept. 10.
