Brooklyn Borough President Adams promotes free online programs as schools close due to coronavirus
Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams is promoting awareness of a free online learning program for students to use with schools closing due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Adams says that Sussman Education and Renaissance Learning is working with the Department of Education to ensure that online learning resources are available to students across the city.
The online program MyOn gives students access to thousands of books and instructional opportunities.
For students who do not have access to computers or internet at home, the president of Sussman Education says that the program is also available on smartphones.
Adams says that he wants to make as many students and parents aware of these resources and that they are easily accessible.
