A Brooklyn business owner spoke with News 12 about an attempted burglary that took place early Monday morning.
Jahan Salarimatin, owner of Bijan's Restaurant in Boerum Hill, says it was at around 3:30 a.m. on Monday when two people in hoodies used an object to smash the glass of the business' front door. The two robbers were unable to get into the business after smashing the glass, and staff at a nearby business told News 12 that they also had a damaged window at their store as well.
Salarimatin says that this is the third time someone has tried to rob his business in the past three years.
"It just puts you in a bad place you know, because you have to cut down on the other things to pay for a broken glass obviously," said Salarimatin. "So sometimes you need to borrow money to do that. Put in on a credit card to pay for it you know, so it's rough."
Salarimatin says he is currently in the process of filing a police report and that he will increase his security measures to prevent this from happening again.
