A private club is being investigated to see if it violates city anti-discrimination laws.
The Wing is a workspace and networking hub exclusively for women. It has three locations in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
The club's co-founder says its success shows women have a "deep yearning" for all-female spaces, but the Commission on Human Rights is investigating whether it violates the city's Public Accommodations Law, which bans discrimination on the basis of gender.
A lawyer representing The Wing says it does not violate any city or state laws.
