The man who prosecutors say fatally shot NYPD Officer Adeed Fayaz has been indicted on first-degree murder charges, according Brooklyn district attorney Eric Gonzalez.
The defendant, 38-year-old Randy Jones, was arrested this week following a manhunt that stretched to Rockland County.
Jones allegedly shot NYPD Officer Adeed Fayaz after Fayaz and he scheduled a car sale through Facebook Marketplace that turned violent on Saturday night. 
The 26-year-old father of two died three days later.
Full details of the indictment have not yet been made public.
