5h agoAn 87-year-old former Brooklyn teacher is making her movie debut in her granddaughter's first film.
The Coney Island granddaughter and grandma have lived together for 10 years and describe themselves as very similar.
Filmmaker Rebecca Lauren approached her grandmother to be the star in the short horror film and it was an instant “yes.”
"The character is kind of like me. I'm very judgmental. I'm very outspoken. That's me," said Iris Wachs, Lauren's grandmother.
"Sometimes she's a little judgmental. She's always been very strong willed," said Lauren.
Lauren says the film – titled “Grandma’s House” – is an homage to her grandmother and late grandfather. It will ideally debut this summer.
