A Brooklyn man has been arrested, accused in a fatal stabbing that left a man dead last week at a laundromat in the Claremont section of the Bronx.
The NYPD announced it arrested 39-year-old Clarence Woodward on Aug. 8. He faces murder, manslaughter and assault charges.
News 12 reported that a man entered the 24-hour laundromat located at 301 East 170th St. and College Avenue and stabbed one man in his back and another twice in the leg.
Authorities said the man who was stabbed in the leg, identified as Jose Miranda, is the person who later died at the hospital.
The 303 laundromat is back open and was business as usual on Monday. People who live in the area say while the incident is disturbing, violence has become all too common familiar on their block.
"It frightens me because it's so close to home, but you see it and you keep on moving,” said Lisa Halloway.
