Builders: Plans approved for Long Island's first surf park in Shirley

Plans are moving forward for Long Island's first surf park in Shirley.
Builders tell News 12 their site plan is now approved by Brookhaven's Planning Commission. This means they can now file for building permits.
As News 12 has reported, the park off the LIE will feature a surf pool with man-made waves - suitable for all level of surfers.
The surf park is expected to host surf lessons, competitions and feature an on-site surf shop.
