Bronx residents are bundling up for the second straight day of frigid temperatures.
Many braved the bitter cold as they commuted to work and school Tuesday.
Heavy winds made the frigid temperatures feel even colder. The frosty winter weather even froze a fire hydrant on 175th Street and Walton Avenue.
However, the good news is the sun is out, and the wind appears not to be as strong as it was on Monday.
Although it is not as cold as Monday, officials say to wear hats, gloves and winter coats for those heading outside.
They also advise against being outside for an extended period.
