Lickety Split Ice Cream serves up sweet treats and brings community together
News 12's Natalie Hernandez spoke with the owner of long-time ice cream shop Lickety Split about the summer surge of business.

Lickey Split Ice Cream has been open on City Island for over 20 years and serves up over 25 flavors of gelato, ice cream and sorbet to the Bronx community.
The shop just won a "Best of the Bronx" award for being the best ice cream shop in the borough. Owner Skip Giacco tells News 12 his shop is a place where the community can come together and enjoy the one thing most people love – ice cream.
"City Island is a wonderful place because it's tiny and everybody lives here from the working class to the wealthy. They all come together in a place like this, In spite of what they do, how they spend their time or what their education is. The ice cream brings them together," he said.
The shop is open seven days a week at varying times.
