Some businesses owners along Bruckner Boulevard in Throgs Neck say they are fearful that gentrification may drive up their rent prices.
Owners of the Crosstown Diner, which has been in business for more than 60 years, say they don't want their customers to pay more to cover the cost of rising business costs.
Admittedly, it's a catch-22 for long established businesses in the area who want a thriving surrounding area with more foot traffic.
The Crosstown Diner, similar to other businesses, say all they can do is brace themselves for what's to come, and hope their reputation can keep them going.
