BX cab driver charged in pedestrian death

Police arrested a Bronx cab driver accused of hitting and killing an 88-year-old woman with his car on a Manhattan street. Police say Luisa Rosario was crossing West 109th Street just before 1 a.m.

Police arrested a Bronx cab driver accused of hitting and killing an 88-year-old woman with his car on a Manhattan street.
Police say Luisa Rosario was crossing West 109th Street just before 1 a.m. Sunday when a cab making a right turn struck her.
Rosario was taken to Saint Luke's Hospital where she later died.
Police say the cab driver, Salifu Abubkar, remained at the scene of the accident.
Police charged Abubkar with failing to yield to pedestrians.
