Broken garbage bags, old food, flies and air conditioner parts line the sidewalk on the corner of Brooke Avenue and East 157th Street, where people say there is too much garbage on their sidewalks.
Many say they've seen trash go nearly a month without getting picked up.
Residents say the last pickup happened Saturday, but they are expecting it to get worse.
Not only does it smell, many people who live nearby claim it is dangerous. They say people live in apartments less than 40 yards away, and children walk down the sidewalk on their way to a nearby park.
News 12 reached out to the New York City Department of Sanitation, which said it would deliver a response on Friday.
