The Turn To Tara team introduced viewers two years ago to Jeremy Rivera when documenting the journey of three cannabis entrepreneurs hoping to win a highly coveted dispensary license in the state of New York.

Rivera became one of the first justice applicants to open a legal cannabis business in New York.

The launch came with high hopes. But it also had delays, shifting regulations and a chaotic state rollout.

Tara Rosenblum checked in with Rivera to see where he stands now and what his journey reveals about the realities of New York's legalization effort.
