Bronx student Fernando Mosso is closing out his high school career and starting a new chapter at NYU this fall.
Mosso watched his sister graduate from Aquinas High School four years ago, and was inspired to pursue academic excellence at Cardinal Hayes High School. Mosso finished his high school career as a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society while maintaining good grades.
His high school success extended beyond the classroom, where he played trumpet for all of Cardinal Hayes’ bands, and now Fernando Mosso will join his sister as part of the first generation in his family to go to college.
Mosso will attend NYU on full scholarship that he acquired after his family initially received help from Inner-City Scholarship Fund to support his Cardinal Hayes education. He plans to study mechanical engineering and says he’s interested in giving back to the community in the very near future.
