A Castle Hill woman says she hasn't been able to use the water in her apartment for more than six months due to a dirty, brown substance coming out of the faucet.
Despite repeated complaints to management, Maxine Breeden claims they haven't done anything to fix it.
She says she buys water bottles each week just to brush her teeth and gallon jugs to bathe.
News 12 reached out to the management office who replied, “no comment.”
News 12 then contacted the Department of Environmental Protection which said in a statement that the “building management has confirmed to DEP that interior construction had caused the water to become temporarily discolored at this location.”
The DEP also said that the agency tested the water in the neighborhood and it remains safe, but judging by the color of the water, Breedan is not buying it.
