It looks like reggaeton sensation Don Omar may not be going to jail for domestic violence. 

The singer was arrested last Wednesday after police say he threatened his girlfriend, Rebecca Lopez, in their Puerto Rican home. 

According to a newspaper in Puerto Rico, Lopez posted a letter on her Facebook page saying that she forgives Omar and wants to drop the charges. She added that she doesn't want to damage the career of "the man she loves." 

Omar had been released on $600,000 bail.
