The Chelsea Brewing Company, which once called the Chelsea Piers its home, reopened this week in Bathgate's industrial business zone.
The brewing company was struggling to stay afloat in Manhattan due to rent hikes. Its new location on East 173rd Street is not only more affordable, but it also provides a larger brewing area.
Bronx resident Sheena Moran says she thinks having the brewing company will help the neighborhood.
The owners of the Chelsea Brewing Company say they plan on making the Bronx a permanent home for their business. They say they are happy to bring the community a taste of something different.
