The hearing focused on the committee's economic development and transportation infrastructure including improvements coming to the ferry system throughout the five boroughs, specifically in children under the age of 18.
During the hearing, the committee highlighted the positive impact the ferry forward plan will have throughout the city.
The NYC Ferry Forward plan will also include reduced fares for seniors and people with disabilities as well.
