The city says its crews are ready to clean up snow from the storm that arrived in the Bronx this morning.
The Department of Sanitation has loaded salt onto trucks, prepared tire chains and took steps to prepare.
The mayor says more than 500 salt spreaders were pre-deployed across all five boroughs.
The DSNY also has about 1,000 plow trucks ready to go, although the plows only go out once 2 inches of snow has accumulated.
Snow is expected to impact the region today and Tuesday.
